General Mills is consistently ranked among the top ten contributors of food in the United States.

General Mills directs product donations to our donor partner, Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger relief organization. The Feeding America network is made up of more than 200 food banks that support over 50,000 agencies across the United States. General Mills has had a strong partnership with this organization for nearly thirty years.

During fiscal 2008, General Mills donated over $18 million in product to Feeding America. General Mills also steps forward to help support victims of natural disasters with food donations to organizations such as the American Red Cross.

Nonprofit organizations looking to request product donations can go directly to their local Feeding America (formerly America's Second Harvest) Food Bank. The Twin Cities local Food Bank is Second Harvest Heartland.
